Telegram Partners with xAI
Telegram has partnered with Elon Musk’s AI company, xAI, to distribute the AI assistant Grok to its over one billion users and integrate it into its apps. The one-year deal will provide Telegram with $300 million in cash and equity, along with 50% of revenue from xAI subscriptions sold through the platform. This partnership follows criticism of Telegram’s moderation policies and Musk’s ongoing rivalry with OpenAI, which he co-founded and attempted to buy earlier this year.
