World number one Luke Humphries won the 2025 Premier League opener in Belfast by defeating Chris Dobey 6-1, showcasing an impressive performance with an 86% success rate on doubles and three 100-plus checkouts. Humphries had earlier overcome Michael van Gerwen in the semi-finals, who had beaten world champion Luke Littler in a thrilling quarter-final match. The Premier League Darts format includes 16 weeks of league stage matches, with the top four players advancing to the play-off night at London’s O2 Arena on 29 May.
