CDC Warns of Measles Risk for Travelers
The CDC has updated its warning regarding the risk of measles transmission among travelers, reporting 62 cases of infectious individuals flying within or into the U.S. this year. The agency now advises all travelers to be fully vaccinated before international travel and suggests postponing trips if vaccinations can’t be obtained. The current outbreak has seen over 1,088 cases in the U.S., primarily linked to domestic outbreaks, prompting increased vigilance as travel season approaches, despite some signs of leveling off in recent cases.
