Conor McGregor and James Lawrence were not charged with any criminal offenses following an investigation by the Director of Public Prosecutions. Factors such as unreliable witnesses, the presence of a second suspect, Nikita Hand’s alcohol and drug consumption, and her behavior in CCTV footage influenced the decision. The DPP, Claire Loftus, reviewed the garda file twice and ultimately decided not to pursue charges against McGregor and Lawrence.
