MOL and CMB.TECH join forces for world’s first ammonia dual-fuel newcastlemaxes and chemical tankers

Japan’s Mitsui OSK Lines (MOL) and Belgium’s CMB.TECH have partnered to jointly own and charter nine newbuildings that can run on ammonia fuel, including three ammonia dual-fuel newcastlemax bulkers and six chemical tankers, two of which will be dual-fuel. These landmark vessels will be the world’s first of their kind, with the newcastlemax ships set for delivery between 2026 and 2027 and the chemical tankers scheduled for 2028 and 2029. The partnership aims to decarbonize the maritime industry and contribute to achieving net zero emissions by 2050, increasing CMB.TECH's contract backlog by $921m to nearly $3bn. Full Article

US adtech CEO jailed for financial fraud after faking $1.3 million transaction | News

Paul Roberts, former CEO of Kubient, has been sentenced to one year and one day in prison for financial fraud, including faking a $1.3m transaction and creating false revenue. The company, specializing in programmatic advertising and fraud detection, went public in 2020, raised over $32.5m, but was delisted and filed for bankruptcy by 2023 due to the fraud.
