Retired Marine Cpl. Scott Harrison, who served at the perilous Con Thien outpost during the Vietnam War, found solace in a music box from his sister, inspiring him to create the Carousel of Happiness in Nederland, Colorado. Since its opening in 2010, the carousel has brought joy to over a million visitors, profoundly transforming Harrison’s life as he shifted from battling PTSD to spreading happiness.
