OTTAWA

Prime Minister Mark Carney’s chief of staff, Marc-André Blanchard, faced criticism from Conservatives for likening Carney’s conflicts of interest to that of former PM Stephen Harper’s chief of staff, Nigel Wright. The clerk of the Privy Council, Michael Sabia, revealed that 13 potential conflicts have been flagged since Carney took office, with six requiring an ethics screen.
