Cape Winelands Airport (CWA) led by Deon Cloete, former MD of Cape Town International Airport, is close to completing its Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) process and securing funding. The airport, located near the N1 highway, will feature a 3.5km runway, terminal building, and sustainable facilities, aiming to become a key commercial aviation hub in the region by late 2027 or early 2028. Collaborating with Wesgro and attending global aviation events, CWA is set to attract airlines and offer a multimodal travel experience in the Western Cape.
