Cape Town International Airport is scheduled to undergo significant renovations starting in 2026 and expected to be completed by 2029. The upgrades, funded by ACSA’s R21.7 billion investment program, will include a new runway and expansions to domestic and international terminals, as well as additional contact stands and enhanced security features. Delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic pushed back the project, part of a larger modernization effort for South African airports like OR Tambo and King Phalo.
