Michael Hage scored on a power play just 44 seconds into overtime, leading Canada to a 2-1 victory over Latvia at the world junior hockey championship in Minneapolis. Cole Reschny also scored for Canada, while Jack Ivankovic made 26 saves and Gavin McKenna contributed two assists. Latvia’s Rudolfs Berzkalns equalized late in regulation, but a penalty gave Canada the chance to win. Canada’s next game is against Denmark on Monday.
