Canada to Boost NATO Spending

At the NATO summit in The Hague on June 25, 2025, Prime Minister Mark Carney announced Canada’s commitment to increase its defense spending to five percent of GDP, equating to $150 billion annually over the next decade, in response to growing threats, particularly from Russia.
