Cameras in the Oytagh Glacier Park scenic area in Akto County, China, captured a massive avalanche cascading down from the summit of Chakragil in the Kunlun Mountains, covering the entire valley in seconds. The snow accumulated rapidly, forming a towering “snow wall” tens of meters high due to heavy snowfall in the high-altitude area, but fortunately, no injuries or casualties were reported as the avalanche occurred in an uninhabited region. The Chakragil, over 6000 meters above sea level, remains constantly covered in snow, leading to the build-up thick enough to trigger the dramatic avalanche.
