Former SJSU volleyball coach Melissa Batie-Smoose discusses President Trump’s ban on transgender athletes in women’s sports, while California AG Rob Bonta instructs Children’s Hospital Los Angeles to continue providing services to transgender minors despite the executive order. The hospital will halt hormone services for minors but continue treatment for current patients, as Trump’s order aims to restrict funding for gender transition procedures. Bonta joins over 20 attorneys general in suing to prevent the freeze of federal funding for transgender services, criticizing the Trump Administration’s disregard for public health and safety.
