Udderly relaxed: How massaging newborn calves might make them heavier, healthier

Cattle rancher Karyn Neilson has adopted a unique approach during calving season by massaging every other newborn calf on her central Alberta farm for one minute, aiming to enhance their health and the profitability of her herd. Over the past five years, this technique has been applied to half of the calves born at Neilson Beef in Stettler, Alberta.
