Randy and Sebastian Malleck have won the Cain’s Quest snowmobile race for the second consecutive year, finishing in Labrador City just before 10:30 a.m. AT and securing a $100,000 prize. The father-son team, from Sheshatshiu Innu First Nation, completed the challenging race hours ahead of their competitors, with only eight of the original 18 teams remaining by the finish. They plan to celebrate their victory at home and will donate part of their winnings to IWK Halifax, a children’s hospital.
