Israel has conducted “extensive strikes” in the Gaza Strip, targeting Hamas “terror targets” and resulting in at least 34 Palestinians killed and 70 injured. This marks the largest wave of airstrikes since the ceasefire began on 19 January, with talks to extend the ceasefire failing to reach an agreement. The strikes were ordered by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz, following Hamas’s refusal to release hostages and rejection of proposed agreements.
