Tomiko Itooka, the world’s oldest person at 116, passed away in a nursing home in Ashiya, Hyogo Prefecture, Japan. Born in 1908, she lived through world wars and pandemics, enjoying volleyball and climbing mountains in her youth. Survived by family, Itooka was honored on Respect for the Aged Day and leaves behind a legacy of courage and hope.

Plan to improve dentistry has comprehensively failed and it’s actually getting worse, MPs warn
