One of Pope Francis’s popemobiles, used during his 2014 visit to Bethlehem, is being converted into a mobile health clinic for children in Gaza, following the Pope’s request before his death. The clinic will include essential medical supplies and aims to provide care to children affected by the ongoing conflict, which has resulted in over 15,000 child deaths and widespread displacement. Currently in Bethlehem, the vehicle awaits the reopening of a humanitarian corridor into Gaza, with Caritas preparing to deliver urgent medical assistance once access is granted.
