Tom Hardy Netflix thriller 'puts Wales on world map'

The team behind Netflix’s action thriller Havoc claims it will elevate Wales as a filming destination. Starring Tom Hardy as a “jaded” detective, the film explores the fallout of a botched drug deal and, despite being set in an unnamed US city, was entirely filmed in Wales, featuring car chases and shootouts. Filming, which included Hardy and co-star Forest Whitaker, took place in south Wales in 2021 but faced delays due to the pandemic and the US writers strike.
