A man named Levi Fishlock has been sentenced to nine years in jail for his involvement in a riot at a hotel housing asylum seekers in South Yorkshire. Fishlock smashed windows and attempted to set fire to the Holiday Inn Express in Rotherham during the disorder on 4 August. The judge called it one of the worst cases stemming from the Rotherham disorder, and Fishlock’s sentence is the joint-longest in connection with the UK’s summer of riots.
