Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has accused UK leader Sir Keir Starmer and his counterparts in France and Canada of supporting Hamas, labeling them as siding with “mass murderers.” In a video addressing an attack on Israeli embassy staff, Netanyahu criticized the leaders for wanting Hamas to persist, while Sir Keir condemned antisemitism and expressed horror at the humanitarian situation in Gaza, where over 53,000 have died since Israel’s military campaign began in response to a Hamas attack on October 7, 2023. Former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert described the current administration as a “gang of thugs,” rejecting their policies in Gaza.
