Ofcom: BBC Gaza Documentary Violated Regulations

The UK media regulator Ofcom has ruled that the BBC committed a “serious breach” of broadcasting rules by not disclosing that the narrator of the documentary “Gaza: How to Survive a Warzone” is the son of a Hamas official, deeming the program “materially misleading.” In response, the BBC’s director general has apologized for the significant accuracy failing and Ofcom has mandated that the BBC air a prime-time statement regarding its findings.
