Security camera footage captured Israeli forces boarding the yacht Madleen, which was carrying 12 activists, including Greta Thunberg, towards Gaza to deliver humanitarian aid. The mission, organized by the Freedom Flotilla Coalition, aimed to raise awareness of the humanitarian crisis in Gaza caused by Israel’s blockade imposed in 2007, and the boat was carrying supplies like rice and baby formula. Israel labeled the venture a “selfie yacht” and announced plans to deport the activists to their home countries after towing the vessel to Ashdod.
