Former congressman George Santos begins seven-year prison sentence

Disgraced former congressman George Santos has begun a more than seven-year prison sentence for wire fraud and identity theft at the Federal Correctional Institution in Fairton, New Jersey, following his guilty plea to federal charges. Santos, expelled from Congress for misusing campaign funds and lying about his background, was ordered to pay $374,000 in restitution after being convicted of multiple felonies.
