Brazil has sacked manager Dorival Junior following a 4-1 defeat to Argentina in World Cup qualifying, despite being in fourth place in the South American group. The 62-year-old had been in charge since January 2024, winning seven, drawing six, and losing three of his 16 games. Brazilian media suggest that Al-Hilal coach Jorge Jesus is the favorite to replace him, after the CBF failed to appoint Carlo Ancelotti before hiring Dorival.
