Richard Chamberlain, best known for his roles in Dr Kildare and Shogun, has died at the age of 90 in Hawaii. He was dubbed the “king of the mini-series” for his work in Shogun and The Thorn Birds. Chamberlain, who came out as gay later in life, had a successful career in television and film, earning numerous accolades and a dedicated fan following.
