Matthew Rhys stars in new Netflix thriller

Emmy award-winning actor Matthew Rhys, inspired by fellow Welshman Anthony Hopkins, takes on a “creepy” role as property tycoon Nile Jarvis in Netflix’s thriller series The Beast in Me, co-starring Claire Danes as reclusive author Aggie Wiggs. Rhys describes the series as “old-fashioned Hitchcockian” and a game of “cat and mouse.” He revealed that the 1990 classic film The Silence of the Lambs influenced his portrayal, stating, “If you are going to steal, steal from the best.”
