Thousands, including Holocaust survivors, participated in the annual “March of the Living” at Auschwitz-Birkenau, commemorating the millions of Jews who perished in the Holocaust. The march, covering a 3km route to the crematorium, emphasized calls against antisemitism and intolerance, with many participants carrying Israeli flags and advocating for the release of hostages held by Hamas. Notably, Israel’s Prime Minister Isaac Herzog joined the march, marking the 80th anniversary of the camp’s liberation by Soviet troops.
