Despite his mother’s warnings about Russia, he went in August but quickly found himself in combat training for the Ukraine war. After sending a voice note before a battle on October 4, his mother learned from a friend that he was missing and feared dead. Efforts to obtain official confirmation from Russian authorities have been unsuccessful, leaving his family distraught.
