South Africans rejoice after rescued yacht dog spared euthanasia

South Africans are grateful to Agriculture Minister John Steenhuisen for intervening to save Achi, a guide dog facing euthanasia due to illegal entry after being rescued from an abandoned yacht. Achi will remain in quarantine at a state facility in Cape Town for necessary tests before potentially reuniting with its owners, while Dr. Peter Wood continues to provide care.
