Meta’s AI Data Centre Investment

Mark Zuckerberg announced that Meta will invest hundreds of billions in AI data centres, with the first, Prometheus, set to launch in Ohio by 2026. The project includes multiple multi-gigawatt clusters, like Hyperion in Louisiana, with substantial energy and water requirements, as the company aims to develop advanced “superintelligence” technology.
