Parents of a teenage boy who carried out a mass shooting at a school in Belgrade, Serbia, killing nine students and a security guard in May 2023, have been jailed. The boy’s father, Vladimir Kecmanoviæ, received a 14-and-a-half-year sentence, while his mother, Miljana Kecmanoviæ, was sentenced to three years. The boy, held in a psychiatric institution, cannot be tried, but his parents were convicted of failing to secure the weapons used in the attack.
