Writers denounce Israel's 'genocidal' actions in Gaza and call for ceasefire

Writers including Zadie Smith, Ian McEwan, and Russell T Davies have signed an open letter, endorsed by over 400 authors and organizations, calling for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.

The letter describes Israel’s military actions as “genocidal” and urges a collective response to the ongoing crisis.

Israel, aiming to dismantle Hamas and rescue hostages, has denied genocide allegations, which are currently under review by the International Court of Justice.
