BW LPG has agreed to sell two vessels, BW Pampero and BW Chinook, to the BW LPG India joint venture for around $75m each, as part of their expansion and fleet renewal strategy in the Indian market. The delivery of these 2015-built vessels is scheduled for the third quarter of 2025. BW LPG India, established in 2017 as a joint venture between BW LPG Limited and Global United Shipping, owns India’s largest fleet of very large gas carriers and plays a significant role in the import of LPG into the country, with Maas Capital Shipping holding a minority stake in the company.
