Buses in Britain may be disabled by Chinese technology
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

British security experts have raised concerns that Chinese-made Yutong electric buses could be remotely disabled via an in-built ‘kill switch’. This warning follows an inquiry into similar vehicles in Norway, although no evidence of such a feature being used has been found. Despite these fears, government officials are unlikely to halt the sale of Yutong buses due to a lack of concrete evidence and potential diplomatic repercussions. Yutong has denied any capability to control its buses remotely, emphasizing that safety software is not linked to critical driving functions.
