Early Friday morning, a bus carrying the Athabasca Rivermen Junior A Hockey Club lost control on Highway 2 in northern Alberta, resulting in injuries to several passengers. Two teenagers were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries, while no fatalities were reported. Icy road conditions are believed to have contributed to the crash, as the team was en route to a game in Crowsnest Pass. The National Junior Hockey League is coordinating support for the team’s mental health and well-being.
