On November 17, the Burrell girls soccer team experienced mixed emotions after a 2-1 overtime loss to Archbishop Wood in the PIAA Class 2A championship. Despite the heartbreak, coach Frank Nesko praised the team’s performance and community support throughout their successful season, which concluded with a 15-8-2 record after a strong postseason run. The Bucs showcased their resilience by defeating higher-ranked teams to reach the finals, proving the competitiveness of their section.
