Bungie has unveiled its upcoming team-based extraction shooter, Marathon, revealing gameplay and a cinematic short during its recent showcase, with a release date set for September 23. Players will take on the role of a Runner, a cybernetic mercenary exploring the remnants of Tau Ceti IV in teams of three, battling rival teams and security forces for loot to keep for future runs. A Closed Alpha Test is scheduled from April 23 to May 4, with more testing planned before the game’s launch on Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S, featuring full cross play and cross save.
