Bundesliga teams protest after GK hit by object

During a Bundesliga match between VfL Bochum and Union Berlin, Bochum’s goalkeeper Patrick Drewes was struck on the head by an object thrown from the stands, leading both teams to leave the field. When play resumed, the teams decided not to attempt to score, running down the clock instead. Bochum may request a 3-0 win by default due to the incident, as they were left with nine players after Drewes’ injury and previous substitutions.
