The second phase of the Leonard Tunnel renovation in Brussels begins on March 18, 2024, with a €28 million investment aimed at enhancing safety and longevity. Traffic to Zaventem on the outer ring road will be redirected through the Waterloo lane to allow for repairs, causing significant delays for drivers this weekend. To combat colder weather and keep construction on track, large tents will be set up at the tunnel entrance and exit, with traffic diversions in place until early 2025.
