Five-time major champion Brooks Koepka has become the first player to leave LIV Golf, as he and the league mutually agreed he will not compete after the 2025 season, prioritizing family needs. Talor Gooch will take over as captain of the Smash team previously led by Koepka. The PGA Tour, which enforces a one-year ban for players who joined LIV, acknowledged Koepka’s departure and expressed wishes for his success. LIV Golf concluded its season on August 24.
