Daniel McDonald, 36, and Sian Warren, 34, a British couple from Salford, were charged with attempting to smuggle £1 million worth of cannabis into the UK from Thailand after their arrest at Heathrow Airport on May 27, where 51kg of cannabis was found in their luggage. They appeared at Uxbridge Magistrates Court and were granted bail, with their next court date set for June 26 at Isleworth Crown Court. This incident is part of a growing trend of high-profile drug smuggling cases involving British nationals abroad.
