Labour’s manifesto promised to help touring artists, but Sir Keir Starmer has been criticized for not acting quickly enough to address the barriers. English soprano Rachel Nicholls highlighted the dire situation, stating that British singers are losing opportunities and facing a decline in the industry, leading to a generation of performers being forced out and a sense of sadness and fear among musicians.
