Australian hardware company BrainChip has introduced the Akida Pico NPU, a tiny and efficient neural processor designed to power AI edge devices running on battery power. The Akida Pico NPU, at 0.12 square millimeters, integrates event-based neural processing capabilities to handle intensive AI tasks efficiently. This innovation could pave the way for a new generation of intelligent edge devices with significant power savings.
