Overall, footfall was 49.2% lower than pre-pandemic levels in 2019, with south-west England experiencing the largest drop of 26.7%. Greater London saw an 11.1% decline, according to MRI Software’s OnLocation Footfall Index, marking a stark contrast from last year’s data and raising questions about shifting consumer behavior influenced by the ongoing cost of living crisis.
