Waitārere Beach Shooting: Former Employer Describes Troubled Employee

The man who died in a shooting at a Waitārere Beach home has been identified as 60-year-old Benjamin Timmins, according to reports. The incident also left a 46-year-old woman and two young men, aged 17 and 21, injured. Timmins’ former employer described him as troubled and cautioned against overemphasizing his past connection to the Territorial Force. Timmins’ sister noted that he was a former soldier who had transitioned to farming.
