Boats collide on river in southern China, killing at least 11 people

In southern China, a small ferry was struck by an oil spill cleaning vessel on the Yuanshui River in Hunan province, resulting in 11 deaths and five individuals still missing. The accident occurred in a deep and wide section of the river, with rescue operations ongoing. The larger vessel’s three occupants, who were unharmed, are under investigation by authorities, while the cause of the crash remains unknown.
