Ahmed Lal, driving a friend’s BMW M4, struck a pedestrian at over twice the speed limit in Somerset, flipping the victim into the air and landing in the back of the convertible. The 24-year-old drug dealer was traveling at 68mph in a 30mph zone, causing the pedestrian to suffer a fractured pelvic bone, left foot, and hip, as well as significant bruising. CCTV footage showed Lal driving recklessly before the collision, and he tested positive for cannabis upon police arrival at the scene in Shrewsbury Crown Court.
