Blue Origin has unveiled its TeraWave network, which aims to provide broadband speeds of up to 6Tb globally through a system of 5,408 satellites. Unlike competitors like SpaceX’s Starlink, TeraWave is designed primarily for enterprise customers, targeting around 100,000 users, and will not allow direct connectivity for individuals. Scheduled satellite deployments are set to begin in late 2027, with a mix of low and medium-Earth orbit satellites to achieve high-speed connections. This initiative highlights the growing competition in the satellite internet market, particularly in the enterprise sector.
