President Trump reached a deal with the head of the law firm Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP, under which Trump will drop the executive order he issued against the firm. The firm agreed to represent clients regardless of political affiliation, contribute $40 million in legal services to causes Trump supports, and conduct an audit of their hiring practices. The agreement follows a meeting between Trump and Brad Karp, the firm’s chairman, and is part of Trump’s retribution campaign against law firms he believes have opposed him.
